For the 2015 Yankee travel feature “Spring Comes to Narragansett Bay,” photographer Julie Bidwell captured the beauty of coastal Rhode Island in spring and early summer, including bustling Newport and the rocky coastline in Jamestown.   2. Grew up there and miss it terribly. Love to see the pictures. Bristol isn’t the only place in R.I. that is attractive.

  3. Visit Smiths Castle, opening in May for tours, 12-4 pm. Picnic on the grounds, overlooking Wickford Cove.

  4. I’ve enjoyed my beautiful Narragansett hone for the past 31 years and love the area around Jamestown, Charlestown and Newport!! Just gorgeous scenery!

  5. Spent summers on Prudence Island as a child, saw Crosby, Stills, and Nash concert at Colt State Park many years ago
