Old-Fashioned Lemonade Stand Lemonade

Makes 7 cups
Ingredients
1-1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup boiling water
1 tablespoon grated lemon rind
1-1/2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
5 cups cold water
Lemon and lime slices for garnish
Fresh mint sprigs
Instructions
Combine sugar and boiling water, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add lemon rind, lemon juice, and cold water; mix well. Chill. Serve over crushed ice garnished with lemon and lime slices and fresh mint sprigs.
I never could make good lemonade until I tried this recipe, boiling the water and sugar did the trick.
