  1. I received Yankee for many years. Don’t have time for a lot of magazines now.

      1. I loved the fruit and nut muffin. I worked at Jordan’s for many years and enjoyed many of them! Somehow the bran muffin recipes aren’t the same and I’m not sure about the morning glory muffin recipe. That recipe is given on this page!

  2. Jordan Marsh Fruit and Nut muffins were the best – with a half cherry crowning these fabulous muffins. I have looked everywhere and cannot find a recipe, not carrot cake, not like anything else. The chewy texture of the tops was amazing!

    1. I too, have looked for that recipe. I even tried to contact the magazine. I used to work at Jordan Marsh and loved having the fruit and nut muffin with coffee on my break! It seems most people aren’t aware they were made. Everyone remembers the blueberry muffin. I’m glad to see that someone does remember and enjoyed them. I will continue to look. I thought they were a sort of bran muffin and not a carrot cake either.

    1. Hi there. If you click on the name of the recipe it will take you to that recipe’s individual landing page. Thanks, and happy baking!

  3. Morning Glory Muffins are the best ever! I’ve made them several times. They freeze well and are delicious toasted in a toaster oven.

  4. I don’t cook but do copy a lot of these recipes thinking some day I’ll bake something. I am very tempted to try some of these muffins. I am from MA but have lived in WY for the past 25 years and get very nostalgic reading about a lot of the recipes my grandma used to make. Thanks Yankee and all you good New England cooks and bakers.

  5. FYI-All – Jordan’s famous blueberry muffins were ‘created’ by Charles Bonino of Ritz-Carlton fame and later ‘improved’ by his pastry chef who left for Jordan’s, ergo, its fame.
