Hi Christine-
That is a fair point about the butter. I love these with the 14 tablespoons, but you’re right—you can definitely make them with less butter. Did you need a little more buttermilk to get the dough to hold together?

No, you can use frozen berries!

I added almond flavoring because I love almond and blueberry together. They disappeared almost immediately. Directions were perfect. Love them!

I had also wondered about 14 tablespoons of butter; I looked at some other recipes and went with 1.5 sticks, so slightly less. Still tasted good, and…they’re gone.

Thank you for catching that! An earlier version of the recipe had 1/2, but I bumped it up to 2/3 and forgot to update the instructions. I have corrected this in the text. Thanks again!

Try this recipe: 3 cups Busquick, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt, 1/3 cup 2% milk, 1 tablespoon vanilla, and 1 cup cinnamon chips. Mix dry ingredients, mix wet ingredients, then mix wet with dry until moistened. Pat into 9″ circle and cut into wedges (or use a scoop). Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes. I’m sure you can swap berries for cinnamon chips. They come out nice and moist.

These sound delicious and I am a huge fan of scones so I’d like to be clear on which measurement is correct. Thanks…….

I would be nice to see heat-healthy options for recipes.
