Embrace your sweet tooth in this season 5 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 504). We are in Townshend, Vermont, to meet Lucas Farrall and Louisa Conrad, owners of the Big Picture Farm. What started as a post-grad side gig has transformed into a full-fledged career, a successful one at that. Their farm consists of 44 lovable goats and a creamery producing their flagship product, caramels. The goat’s milk adds a lovely depth of flavor to the sweet candies, a quality that has won them over a dozen awards. Artists at heart, Louisa hand-painted the packaging design, entwining their past in their product. Their story is that of trial and error, hard work, and passion.
