Like calls to like, and in this season 7 segment of Weekends with Yankee (episode 706), we are exploring a farm collective of innovative thinkers. Richard is in Charlotte, Vermont, to meet Will Raap, founder of Earthkeeper Farmcommon, a farming collective focused on preserving biodiversity through sustainable, micro-farming. Richard tours the farm and meets its many patrons, starting with John Brawley of Sweetsound Aquaculture, providing locally raised shrimp to nearby communities. Then, he stops by Upstate Elevator, run by Addison Raap, which distills CBD from hemp. He ends his tour at Vermont Malthouse, meets owner Rob Hunter, and tries his delicious, craft beers with maltster Jamie Dragon.
