We are planning a 10 day trip Oct 9 through 19 2021from Boston to Cape Cod and to the main coastal towns to Bar Harbour and back to Boston which we will be staying 2 nights I need help in planning a scenery route and to see some foliage thank you so much in advance !!!

I am disappointed that you didn’t suggest a side trip to the Castle in the Clouds while driving the Lake Winni loop. The views of the lake and mountains are spectacular. Usually you can stop for a fabulous lunch on the Carriage House patio over looking the lake. Unfortunately, not this year.

Last Sunday (9/29/2019) drove a foliage loop starting in North Conway on route 16. Driving on route 16 north to Errol then route 26 north to Colebrook. In Colebrook head south on route 3 to route 2 in Lancaster. Drive east on route 2 to route 115. Turn left onto route 115, following it to route 3 in Carroll. Turn left on route 3 towards Twin Mountain. In Twin Mountain you can either turn left onto route 302 east to return to North Conway or continue south on route 3. Gorgeous scenery and almost nobody else on the roads.
